About the Order In 1880, The Grand Council of the Allied Masonic Degrees was established. This consisted of St. Lawrence the Martyr, Knight of Constantinople, Red Cross of Babylon and Grand High Priest. In 1902 the degrees of Grand Tiler of Solomon, Secret Monitor and thirty three degrees of the Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priest were added. In 1925 the Knight Templar Priest degrees were given back to Grand College at Newcastle. In 1931 the degree of Secret Monitor was returned to the degree of that name. Whilst colourful regalia represents each degree, members are only required to wear five jewels, usually miniature form or single composite jewel.
