About the Order There is only one Grand Lodge of the Order, formed in 1767 and situated in Edinburgh. The two degrees are conferred only in Provincial Grand Lodges, these being Heredom of Kilwinning and in an attached Provincial Grand Chapter Rosy Cross. The former is traditionally concerned with David I and the Latter Robert Bruce. Membership is by invitation only.
