As a centre of excellence and to assist the Companions of London in improving their ritual, a Council of improvement was formed in 1998 and holds meetings from September to November inclusive and from January to June inclusive in each Masonic Year. All meetings are held at Mark Masons' Hall, commence at 6.30 p.m. (normally finishing at 8.00 p.m.) The June meeting is followed by a Soiree, including buffet and wine, which provides an informal and very enjoyable end to each Masonic year; the Soiree is normally attended by the District Grand Master, his Deputy and the District Grand Principal Conductor of the Work. Although a firm programme of work is shown, complete flexibility of working is available and any companion wishing to rehearse work not shown on the programme for any particular evening will be accommodated. All companions either in, or coming into, office are encouraged to attend in order that the finer points of our rituals may be imparted and the general standard of our ceremonies improved. The Preceptors look forward to seeing you all in due course. Council of Improvement Programme for 2008 - 2009
nb: Following normal rehearsal, on any evening, Installed Masters are invited to remain behind to rehearse the Installation Ceremony, if they wish.
